Julia is the Company Secretary and Head of Statutory Services. She has overall responsibility for statutory matters within the organisation and is a board member of the in-house companies.
As Company Secretary, Julia’s role includes responsibility for ensuring good corporate governance throughout the organisation. She is a member of the Jersey Executive Committee which is responsible to the board for the day to day running of the business and also heads up the Statutory Department responsible for providing a comprehensive central service to the Client Service Teams in respect of all statutory and company secretarial matters. This department is also responsible for ensuring that the client statutory database is kept up to date. In April 2017, Julia took on an additional role looking at driving process and other efficiencies across the Client Service Teams.
Julia is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators and has the CMI Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership. She is also a member of both the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Jersey Financial Services Commission Registry User Group. Prior to joining Minerva in May 2000, Julia worked for 15 years, latterly as a trust manager, for a number of independent trust companies in Jersey.
With her family now having left home, in her spare time, Julia enjoys all types of theatre, both performing and watching, and sings regularly with a local choir. At other times, she can often be found helping with preparations for one of the parish floral floats in Jersey’s annual Battle of Flowers Parade held each August.
